Tailored Psychotherapy for Individuals & Couples

Warm, evidence-based therapy to help you feel more grounded, connected, and at ease — with yourself and with the people who matter most.

Something doesn't feel right, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.

Maybe you’re burned out, stuck in patterns you don’t like, or feeling disconnected from yourself or the people in your life. Or maybe you know exactly what needs to change — but aren’t sure how to get there.

I help individuals and couples untangle what’s getting in the way and move toward lives and relationships that feel more authentic, connected, and sustainable.

Many of the people I work with are used to functioning at a high level while privately carrying significant stress, overthinking, or emotional fatigue.

Therapy becomes a place to slow down without the need to perform — a space to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and make changes that thoughtful, intentional, and able to hold under real-world pressure.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in high-performance professional environments. That experience shapes how I understand stress, responsibility, and cognitive intensity — especially for people accustomed to operating at a high level while managing significant internal pressure. Many clients notice a sense of familiarity and ease from the start.

Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.

Ways We Can Work Together

I specialize in working with adults and teens navigating stress, anxiety, relationships, and major life transitions — particularly people who are reflective, driven, or used to managing a great deal internally while appearing capable on the outside.

I provide psychotherapy services to clients located in California and Florida at the time of session, conducted via secure telehealth.

Our work will be collaborative, active, and tailored to you, balancing insight with practical change.

I have specialized training and experience supporting:

  • Neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, OCD, 2E, and Highly Sensitive People)

  • Substance use & harm reduction (including CRAFT for loved ones)

  • Burnout, stress, anxiety, and panic

  • Self-criticism & perfectionism

  • Career and life transitions

  • Relationship & communication challenges

  • Premarital & multicultural relationships

  • For thoughtful people navigating stress, burnout, perfectionism, or life transitions. You may have a clear goal, or simply a sense that something needs to shift.

Our work focuses on understanding what’s driving your unique patterns while building practical capacity for change. Sessions often include:

    • quieting self-criticism and internalized pressure

    • understanding emotional and relational patterns at their roots

    • strengthening resilience and self-trust

This is collaborative, evidence-based therapy designed to help insight translate into meaningful, lasting change.

  • For partners who want more than surface communication tools — whether navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, or intentionally strengthening your foundation before marriage or long-term commitment.

I help couples recognize and shift the patterns that emerge under stress, when connection breaks down and partners begin reacting rather than relating. Together we’ll:

    • interrupt unhelpful relational cycles
    • deepen emotional understanding and responsiveness
    • build communication that remains steady during real-life stress

The goal isn’t to eliminate conflict, but to build a relationship that feels secure, resilient, and able to grow through change.

    $325, 80 min

  • For people seeking meaningful change through shared experience and real-time relational work. Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to see patterns as they happen while practicing new ways of engaging with others.

In group, you’ll have opportunities to:

    • share experiences within a structured, supportive environment
    • receive thoughtful feedback and expanded perspective
    • practice skills that carry directly into everyday relationships

Over time, group work strengthens self-awareness, relational confidence, and a deeper sense of belonging.

Meet Darcy

Hi, I’m Darcy Dittrich (pronounced DAR-see DEE-trick), she/her, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with people in California and Florida.

I became a therapist because I’ve always been deeply interested in how people change — and in how relationships shape who we become.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable people who find themselves stuck in patterns that no longer fit their lives or relationships. They often understand themselves intellectually, yet want change to feel real, embodied, and sustainable. Some have long experienced their sensitivity or intensity as something to manage or hide, rather than as a meaningful source of insight and connection when it’s understood and integrated.

My approach is collaborative, engaged, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I balance insight-oriented work with practical tools, helping clients understand the “why” behind their experiences while developing new ways of responding to stress, emotion, and connection. I’m not a blank-slate therapist, and my East Coast roots mean I tend to speak directly and honestly. Clients often describe therapy with me as both grounding and engaging; a space where difficult things can be explored with compassion, curiosity and occasionally a little humor.

I’ve invested extensively in advanced clinical training and consultation to ensure my work remains both deeply informed and practically effective. I have specialized experience working with relationship dynamics, high-achieving and sensitive individuals, and substance use through a harm-reduction lens. In couples therapy, I draw heavily from PACT, which blends neuropsychology and attachment science to help partners move out of conflict cycles in and into greater emotional security.

Outside the therapy room, I value creativity, laughing, learning, and time spent restoring balance — all things I believe are essential to sustainable wellbeing.

My Approach & Values

Therapy with me integrates relational, insight-oriented exploration with practical, evidence-based approaches. Rather than applying a single model, I tailor therapy to each person or relationship — balancing understanding, emotional processing and concrete change.

I draw from approaches including ACT, CBT, DBT, ERP, harm reduction, mindfulness-based therapies, CRAFT, embodied and somatic practices, attachment theory, neuropsychology and PACT for relationships.

My work is grounded in respect, curiosity and non-judgment. You will find a space where complexity is welcome and growth happens without shame.

My practice is affirming of:

  • Harm reduction principles (all goals are welcome, including managed use, moderation, and abstinence)

  • Health at Every Size (HAES)

  • LGBTQIA2S+ and diverse relationship structures

  • Intersectional identity and lived experience
